The main structural Oak timber sole plates were suffering from rot. The supporting stone foundation had collapsed from under the Oak. The building was sand blasted back to its original brick and stone faced work. The timbers were also sand blasted back to the original colour.
Remedy
The stone foundations were fully exposed and then re bedded back into position. The rotten oak was cleaned out, shuttered up with new Oak and then poured with resin giving the new sole plate maximum structural integrity.
We then repaired the timber windows and Oak frame work where required. The newly exposed brick and stone work was repointed and toned in.
